Productronica is regarded worldwide as one of the most important fairs for the electronics manufacture. At the same time it is the world leading fair for the whole range of innovative electronics manufacture. Among others, printed circuit boards and interconnect devices manufacture, insertion, soldering techniques, manufacture and cable processing as well as metrology and control technology and quality control are the core segments of the electronics fair. Other important topics are hybrid components manufacture, product finishing, services and environmental technology as well as manufacturing and software processes, coilable material manufacture or production logistics and material transfer technology. Since in 1975 productronica emerged as an independent event from the “electronica”, one of the greatest trade fairs of the electrical industry, it is an institution in the Munich fair calendar. Every two years, namely in each of the uneven years, it takes place alternately with “electronica” in the New Munich Trade Fair Center in the middle of November. As a rule the fair occupies ten of the Munich fair halls and with it an exhibition space of about 77,000 square meters. During four fair days more than 1,100 exhibitors – 40 percent of them come from abroad – present to about 30,000 business visitors from Germany and all over the world the newest trends and products. Besides, the organizers count nearly 100 percent of business visitors, so that on productronica the full professionalism of sectors from industry, research and development meets together.
productronica in Munich is more than just a platform for the presentation of new products and services. The organizers understand their fair also as a possibility for the visitors to create important contacts and to maintain their own network. That is why the fair is accompanied by an extensive supporting program. Besides, on every event day the accent is put on another area.
