When it comes to sport business, the international trade fair for sports products and fashion (ISPO MUNICH) is the worldwide most important fair. The ISPO is regarded as an international leading fair for sports products and fashion. It shows all important products and innovations from the fields of triathlon, running, fitness, outdoor, skiing, sportswear, boarding, team sports, beachwear, biking, Nordic, football, racket and kids. In addition, most important topics are the newest trends from the fields of action sports, traditional sports and performance sports.
For already 40 years the ISPO is an institution in the Munich fair calendar. Up to 2007 ISPO took place in every summer and winter. Since 2008 it has a firm date once a year at the end of January / beginning of February. The fair is always classified in three big areas „Traditional sports“, „performance sports“ and „action sports“ which are located in their own places of the fair hall and present their products. The largest share is occupied by exhibitors of the topic “Traditional sports”.
During three dates of the fair 2,000 exhibitors meet together with more than 60,000 visitors from more than 100 countries at the ISPO in Munich. Leisure sportsmen experts and trend scouts meet here together. At the ISPO they not only inform themselves about general synergy and cross selling potentials. Thanks to the international networking the fair offers a unique presentation platform to sport business professionals from all over the world. At the ISPO network creation and partnerships play a big role as well as the promotion of young people and the media-oriented processing of industry-specific topics.
If someone wants to be successful in the long-term, it is necessary to develop new markets. Therefore the ISPO is presented internationally in the area of Far East. Already since 2005 the Beijing ISPO takes place regularly in China in February. Organized by the fair Munich GmbH, the Beijing ISPO offer could inspire more than 17,000 visitors in 2011 already.
