The INTERFORST is one of the worldwide most important fairs for the forest industry. It is regarded as an international leading fair for forestry and forest technology as well as for forest-technical innovations. Among others, the most important topics of the INTERFORST are the forest renewal and care, wood harvest and wood procurement as well as the forest protection and the extension or preservation of the forest roads. Other important topics are staff safety and health protection, services, advice, consulting and the EDP.
Since the first fair in 1970 the Munich fair calendar is not imaginable without the INTERFORST anymore. Since then it takes place all four years, namely during the even years, on the area of the New Munich Trade Fair Center in July. The next INTERFORST starts on July 16 and ends on July 20, 2012. More than 400 exhibitors from 24 countries meet together at the INTERFORST with about 50,000 visitors from 80 nations. Regularly the fair occupies a gross exhibition space of about 68,500 square meters. The audience of the INTERFORST is renowned for its high professionalism and uses the fair for discussions with experts and the extension of its own network. At no other fair the trade visitors find all important international players concentrated at one place.
Nevertheless, INTERFORST wants to be more than a possibility to present new products and services. During the numerous site events the discussion is about, for example, future developments in the forestry and wooden economy. During the daily presentation series important questions of the industry are discussed.
If someone wants to be successful in a long term, it is necessary to find for his business many competent partners. Together with the Bavarian forest owner organization in 2010 the organizers of the INTERFORST have found a discussion forum. With the “Stihl Timbersports Series Show”, an international competition series which is regarded as a king’s class of tree-felling the INTERFORST can offer another highlight for its visitors.
