The IFAT ENTSORGA is the worldwide leading fair of the environmental technology industry and is regarded as an international leading fair for water, sewage, garbage and raw material economy. Among other, the most important topics of the IFAT ENTSORGA are recycling, road cleaning and winter road clearance, industrial depollution and ground processing, exhaust emission and waste air purification as well as noise reduction and soundproofing. However, the most important topics are return systems of empties, garbage disposal, measuring, control and laboratory technology as well as the newest trends and products from science and research.
Since 1966 the IFTA took place every three years in Munich. After its union with the ENTSORGA the IFTA ENTSORGA it is now an institution in the Munich fair calendar every two years, each time in May. 110,000 trade visitors from about 185 nations meet here with almost 2,000 exhibitors who are the market leaders of the environmental technology industry. The audience of the IFAT ENTSORGA is renowned for its high professionalism. Commercial and service companies are present there as well as planning and engineering services, scientists, technicians, departments, associations, universities and advanced technical colleges as well as private and urban cleaning and waste disposal companies. They all use the fair not only for information about new technologies and trends, but also for the networking at international level.
The creation of networks is also a central part of the supporting program of the IFTA ENTSORGA. Therefore, for some years the sister fair IFATCHINA + EPTEE + CWS takes place yearly on the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai. Just like the IFTA ENTSORGA in Munich, meanwhile the sister fair has also established itself in Shanghai as a leading fair for Asia.
